Professor Wang Shitao of the DMU Law School gives an academic presentation at the University of Sydney
From May to August of 2019, Professor Wang Shitao of the DMU Law School, as a senior visiting scholar funded by the China Scholarship Council, visited the Law School of the University of Sydney, Australia. During the visit, he gave an academic presentation at the Chinese Studies Center of the University of Sydney. Professor Wang Shitao presented his paper entitled "The fiscal crisis of China's Local Governance - at the perspective of bankruptcy of local government" on 23 August. Starting from the China’s problem awareness and from the perspective of comparative law, he put forward the solution to the local government debt crisis in China - the reform of the constitutional system. After the presentation, Professor Wang Shitao answered the questions raised by the scholars and students, and had a heated discussion with those attended the presentation.
Professor Wang Shitao's presentation have deepened the international academic exchanges of the Law School of Dalian Maritime University, expanded its academic influence and achieved the expected results.
