2019年8月26日至2019年9月6日，大连海事大学法学院研究生于斯斯同学参加了意大利热那亚大学（UNVERSITY DEGLI STUDI DI GENOVA）举办的“欧盟与海洋法”暑期学习项目。
From August 26 to September 6, 2019, Miss Yu Sisi, a postgraduate student of Dalian Maritime University Law School, participated in the summer school of "EU and the Law of the Sea" organized by the University of Genoa (UNVERSITY DEGLI STUDI DI GENOVA) in Italy.

The programme is the orientation to the doctoral and postgraduate courses of the University of Genoa, which aims to provide a platform for students and researchers in this field to exchange thoughts and ideas. Each year, the programme courses will be arranged in light with the current hot issues of the international community. The main content of this year focused on the relationship between EU law and law of the sea and maritime security. The professors and instructors are the law of the sea experts from various countries and senior researchers from international organizations such as IMO. The all have very rich experience in the filed of international law of the sea and the learning atmosphere of the programme was very lively.
In addition to the relevant courses, the programme also provided academic activities such as round table meetings and visits. In the group discussion of round table meetings, the participants improved their ability to use legal professional English, deepened their understanding of the case law of common law countries, and developed their thinking mode of multi-angle observation and thinking.

In addition to Italian local students, there were also students from Estonia, Belgium, Portugal, Bangladesh, Japan and Denmark, with backgrounds ranging from school students to government staff and marine lawyers. Participants from different countries and professions fully exchanged views on cases and hot issues in the light of their respective professional fields and domestic laws, and gained valuable experience of multi-legal cultural.

Genoa is the hometown of Christopher Columbus and is one of the famous ports in Europe. The law of the sea research force of the University of Genoa has a leading position in EU countries. Participants in the programme can not only gain multi-level gains in learning, but also fully appreciate Italian customs, Italian classical architecture and Renaissance works of art, and enrich their life experience. During the two-week programme, the participants fully experienced the study, life, culture and social interaction of the University of Genoa, which laid a good foundation for further study and research on international law of the sea and integration into the international academic exchange group.
