The DMU-SU Joint Double Degree in LLB Law Programme Holds the Third JAB Meeting in the 2025-2026 Academic Year
2026年7月20日，DMU-SU法学中外合作办学项目召开2025—2026学年第三次联合学术委员会（Joint Academic Board，JAB）会议。大连海事大学法学院副院长黄芬、曹兴国，海商法学科方向带头人韩立新，海商法系主任夏元军，中外合作办学项目中心主任于诗卉，以及斯旺西大学相关负责人参加会议。会议由于诗卉主持。
On 20 July 2026, the third Joint Academic Board (JAB) meeting in the 2025–2026 academic year was held. Professor Fen Huang and Professor Xingguo Cao (Deputy Deans of the DMU Law School), Professor Lixin Han (Academic Lead in Maritime Law Discipline), Associate Professor Yuanjun Xia (Head of the Maritime Law Department), Ms Shihui Yu (Director of the Programme), and JAB members from Swansea University attended the meeting, which was chaired by Ms Shihui Yu.
会上，双方首先确认已收到第二次联合学术委员会会议纪要及其中文译文，并对前次会议决议的落实情况进行了回顾。随后，中英双方围绕2025—2026学年项目运行、学生培养、课程建设及新学年教学安排等事项进行了交流。
At the beginning of the meeting, both parties first confirmed receipt of the minutes of the second JAB meeting together with its Chinese translation, and reviewed the implementation of the actions adopted at the previous meeting. The two universities then exchanged views on matters including the programme operation, student training, curriculum development during the 2025–2026 academic year as well as teaching arrangements for the new academic year.
在学生培养方面，中方介绍了2024级、2025级学生的课程考核及学业进展情况。双方就新一学年涉及的缓考、补考、重修、复学及复学后的学业安排进行了沟通。
With regard to student training, DMU briefed on the assessments and academic progress of the 2024 and 2025 intakes. Both sides held discussions on deferred assessments, resit exams, module retakes, lifting of study suspenstions and subsequent study plans.
在课程建设方面，斯旺西大学提出将在三年级“法律写作”课程中增加与执业技能培养有关的教学内容。双方围绕课程名称调整及教学大纲等文件的修改补充进行了讨论。
In relation to curriculum development, Swansea University proposed adding teaching content relevant to practicing skills into the Year 3 “Legal Writing” modules. Both sides discussed the proposed changes to the module titles and the corresponding revisions and supplements to documents including syllabi.
中方同时介绍了2026—2027学年的教学准备情况。目前，新学年课表已完成编制，相关教学安排已经与各授课教师作了沟通。新聘的外籍语言教师和专业教师均已就位，项目的教学力量得到进一步充实。
DMU also updated on teaching preparations for the 2026–2027 academic year. The timetable for the new academic year has been released, and teaching arrangements have been communicated to teaching faculties. Newly recruited foreign language instructors and law faculty have taken up posts, further reinforcing the teaching workforce of the programme.
会议还就成绩管理工作进行了交流。中英双方已经按照相关规则完成成绩转换。双方表示，将进一步完善成绩审核、转换及录入工作的沟通机制，确保中英双方成绩管理工作准确、有序开展。
The meeting also exchanged on grade administration. Both parties have completed grade conversion in accordance with the procedures. The two universities agreed to further improve communication and coordination regarding the review, conversion and entry of marks, ensuring accurate and orderly grade administration across both institutions.
斯旺西大学在会上介绍了面向一年级和二年级学生开展的项目问卷调查情况。双方结合学生反馈，围绕课程学习、教学支持和项目学习体验等方面进行了交流。
Swansea University briefed on the findings of the questionnaire surveys among Year 1 and Year 2 students. Drawing on student feedback, both sides exchanged views on module learning, teaching support and studying experience.
会议结束前，中英双方向即将退休的斯旺西大学人文与社会科学部本科教育副主管Sarah Jones教授表达了诚挚感谢。长期以来，Sarah Jones积极参与项目建设与教学管理工作，在两校间的沟通协调、课程运行和质量保障等方面为项目提供了重要支持，为推动项目持续稳定发展作出了积极贡献。与会全体人员对她的付出表示衷心感谢，并祝愿她退休生活充实愉快、幸福顺遂。Sarah Jones退休后，相关工作将由Jo Berry接任，双方期待继续保持密切合作，共同推动项目各项工作的顺利开展。
Before the close of the meeting, both sides extended their sincere appreciation to Professor Sarah Jones, Associate Dean (Education) of the Faculty of Humanity and Social Science at Swansea University, who is approaching retirement. Over the years, Professor Sarah Jones has actively contributed to the programme development and administration, providing valuable support in inter-university communication, programme delivery and quality assurance. Her contribution has played an important role in supporting the continued and stable development of the programme. All participants expressed their sincere thanks for her dedication and wished her a happy, fulfilling and enjoyable retirement. Following Professor Jones’s retirement, Jo Berry will take over her relevant responsibilities. Both universities look forward to maintaining close cooperation to advance the programme together.
本次会议进一步加强了中英双方在项目教学运行、学生培养和质量保障等方面的沟通。双方表示，将继续密切协作，做好新学年各项教学准备和学生支持工作，推动项目持续平稳有序运行。
The meeting further strengthened communication between the two universities regarding programme delivery, student training and quality assurance. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to close collaboration, effective preparation for the new academic year and continued student support, with the aim of ensuring the stable and sustainable development of the programme.
