Successful Screening Event: DMU-Swansea Programme Students Explore English through Film Appreciation
为营造浓厚的英语学习氛围，提升学生的英文水平，5月15日下午，学院组织法学（中外合作办学）专业学生观看英文电影《雷霆特攻队》，以沉浸式语言学习模式开启了一场别开生面的英语学习体验。
To foster a strong English-learning atmosphere and enhance students' English proficiency, Law School organized a film screening of Thunderbolts in English for students from DMU-Swansea Programme on the afternoon of May 15. This event introduced an immersive language learning experience, offering students a fresh and engaging way to practice English through film.
《雷霆特攻队》讲述了一群 “问题英雄” 组队拯救世界并在这一过程中不断自我救赎与成长的故事。影片中，被社会边缘化的成员们各自背负创伤与缺陷，他们起初因性格差异、利益冲突相互排斥，但在共同面对危机的过程中，逐渐放下偏见与防备，在生死攸关之际托住彼此、扶持前行。
Thunderbolts tells the story of a group of so-called “problematic heroes” who come together to save the world. Along the way, they experience personal redemption and growth. The characters, each marginalized and burdened by their own traumas and flaws, begin their journey divided by clashing personalities and conflicting interests. However, as they face adversity together, they gradually let go of prejudice and suspicion, supporting one another through life-and-death moments.

Students were fully engaged in the film's captivating plot. With its authentic English pronunciation, rich conversational language, and specialized vocabulary, Thunderbolts served as an excellent resource for English language learning. While enjoying the twists and turns of the storyline, students naturally developed their listening skills and picked up idiomatic expressions and spoken language habits through the characters’ dialogue.
此外，特攻队员们面对重重危机，始终坚守使命、不畏牺牲，以坚定的信念和顽强的意志完成各项艰巨任务。他们之间相互信任、默契配合的团队精神，以及为了集体利益甘愿奉献自我的担当意识，深深触动了在场每一位学生。学生们真切感受到了责任与信仰的力量，也对个人与集体、小我与大我的关系有了更深刻的思考。
In addition, the unwavering commitment of the Thunderbolts team in the face of danger—their courage, self-sacrifice, and unshakeable belief in their mission—left a deep impression on all in attendance. Their mutual trust, seamless teamwork, and sense of responsibility for the greater good inspired students to reflect more deeply on the power of belief, the meaning of duty, and the relationship between individual and collective.
