Ms. Shihui Yu is the lecturer of Dalian Maritime University Law School. Her teaching covers Maritime Law, Charterparties, Tort Law, and other maritime law related modules. She has been the recipient of DMU Annual Award for Excellence in Teaching for several times (2007-2020). She obtained the master degree in law from Dalian Maritime University (2002) and Ghent University (2003). She was the visiting scholar at Tulane University Law School (USA) in 2015-2016 and at Swansea University School of Law (UK) in 2022-2023. Her research interests include the marine pollution, seafarers and other maritime related issues. She published Charterparties: English and Chinese Law (in English) in 2014 and co-edited some volumes including Towards Global Maritime Governance (in English) (2024), Maritime Law (2022), Law and Practice for Protecting Seafarers’ Rights (2020), International Maritime Conventions on Fisheries (2016), A Study of Maritime torts (2012), ILO Regulations on Seafarers and China’s Response (2009). She is currently the Deputy Director of the Joint Double Degree Programme in LLB Law between Dalian Maritime University and Swansea University (UK). She is also a part-time lawyer of W&H Law Firm (Dalian, China) .

HAN Lixin, Ph.D. supervisor in maritime law, Professor of maritime law in School of Law, Dalian Maritime University(DMU); She earned her Bachelor, Master and Ph.D of Maritime Law all from DMU. Deputy-editor of Chinese Journal of Maritime Law，deputy leader of the research group on revising the Chinese Maritime Law of the Ministry of Transport, Member of Standing Committee of China Maritime Law Association. She is Arbitrator of CIETAC, CMAC, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Shenyang and Dalian Arbitration Committees etc. The main subjects taught by her are Maritime Law, Carriage of Goods by Sea and Charter Parties, Law of Compensation for Marine Pollution Damage, International Marine Environmental Protection Law. More than 170 publications and articles issued by her during her 36 teaching years.
From October 1999 to March 2014, she served as Director of Maritime Law Department of Law School; From January 2014 to July 2021, she served as Vice Dean of the Law School of DMU.

Dean of Dalian Maritime University Houston International Institute, Ph.D. in Law, Associate Professor, Master's Supervisor.
She earned her LL.B. in Maritime Law from Dalian Maritime University Law School (1998–2002) and later pursued her LL.M. and Ph.D. at Swansea University School of Law, UK (2002–2008).
Since January 2009, she has been engaged in teaching and research in maritime law at Dalian Maritime University Law School. Her primary research areas include maritime law, marine insurance law, private international maritime law, and legal English for maritime law. In recent years, she has led or participated in over 10 major research projects, including National Social Science Fund projects and provincial/ministerial-level initiatives. She has published numerous academic papers in prominent domestic and international journals, covering topics such as marine insurance, legal issues in cargo transportation, and ship-source oil pollution.
From 2009 to April 2017, she served as Assistant Dean of the Law School, overseeing international exchange and cooperation. Since November 2017, she has held the positions of Vice Dean and Dean of the College of International Collaboration, responsible for the preparation, application, operation, and comprehensive management of Sino-foreign cooperative education programs. She has also led high-level collaborations with international higher education organizations and institutions. In 2020, she was appointed Dean of Houston International Institute at DMU.
宋美娴
Dr Meixian Song is XINGHAI Professor of Dalian Maritime University and the editor of Lloyd’s Shipping and Trade Law of Lloyd’s List Intelligence. She was lecturer in law at Southampton Law School between 2016-2022. Meixian’s academic research is in maritime and commercial law, including marine insurance law, carriage of goods by sea and insurance law. She has recently published articles in Lloyd’s Maritime and Commercial Law Quarterly, Journal of Business Law, British Insurance Law Association Journal and Legal Studies. Her monograph “Causation in Insurance Contract Law, 2nd edn” was published in February 2024 with Informa Law from Routledge.
