DMU-SU Law Program Convenes Third Joint Academic Board Meeting for the 2024–2025 Academic Year
2025年7月7日，DMU-SU法学中外合作办学项目召开联合学术委员会（Joint Academic Board, JAB）会议，会议采用线上形式举行。双方对课程调整、教学反馈、学生成绩、评估规则等问题进行了确认和沟通。
On July 7, 2025, the DMU-SU Law Program Joint Academic Board (JAB) convened its meeting in an online format. Representatives from both Swansea University and Dalian Maritime University reviewed and discussed matters including curriculum adjustments, teaching feedback, student performance, and assessment regulations.
斯旺西大学人文与社会科学部教育主管、中外合作办学项目联合学术委员会主席Sarah Jones，项目主管Tabetha Kurtz-Shefford ，国际航运与贸易法研究中心主任Baris Soyer，法学院院长Alison Perry，教学委员会负责人 Patrick Bishop，秘书Helen Lewis，大连海事大学法学院副院长黄芬、副院长曹兴国、海商法学科方向负责人韩立新、海商法系主任夏元军、中外合作办学项目副主任于诗卉、秘书翟雅茹出席会议。
The meeting was chaired by Sarah Jones, Associate Dean Education and Chair of the JAB at Swansea University. Other Swansea participants included Tabetha Kurtz-Shefford (Program Director), Professor Baris Soyer (Director of the Institute of International Shipping and Trade Law), Professor Alison Perry (Dean of the School of Law), Patrick Bishop (Head of Learning and Teaching Committee), and Helen Lewis (Secretary). Participants from Dalian Maritime University included Professor Fen Huang (Vice Dean of the Law School), Professor Xingguo Cao (Vice Dean and Program Director), Professor Lixin Han (Discipline Lead of Maritime Law), Associate Professor Yuanjun Xia (Head of the Maritime Law Department), Program Deputy Director Shihui Yu, and Program Secretary Yaru Zhai.
会议首先回顾了前一次JAB会议提及的教学情况反馈，并邀请双方委员代表就相应的调整方案在本学期的实施效果做一介绍。其次，会议确认了培养计划的微调、课程名称与学分的修改、学生考试成绩，同时就两校教学管理制度融合、中英课程成绩转换、中方教学周调整等议题提请委员们展开进一步的商讨。会议还明确了下一学年的教学任务和后续跟进方向。
The meeting began by reviewing feedback from the previous JAB and invited committee members from both institutions to share updates on the implementation of the revised measures during the current semester. Subsequently, the board confirmed minor revisions to the curriculum plan, changes to course titles and credit allocations, and the results of student assessments. Discussions were also held on aligning academic management systems between the two universities, refining the grade conversion mechanism, and adjusting the Chinese academic calendar. The meeting concluded with confirmations of next academic year’s teaching tasks and action items.
JAB会议作为合作项目的重要教学治理机制，为持续推动DMU-SU法学项目高质量发展、中英教学深度融合提供了制度保障和方向指引。
As a key governance mechanism for the DMU-SU program, the JAB continues to provide strategic direction and institutional assurance for the program’s high-quality development and deep integration of Chinese and UK legal education.
在本次JAB会议召开前，双方先后召开了两次考试委员会会议（Internal Exam Board & External Exam Board），法学院副院长黄芬、中外合作办学项目副主任于诗卉代表中方委员参加了会议。经过两次考试委员会会议的审核以及本次JAB会议的确认，法学中外合作办学项目完成了2024-2025学年第二学期的学生成绩认定，标志着本学期的教学与考核工作顺利完成。
Prior to this JAB meeting, two rounds of examination board meetings—Internal Exam Board and External Exam Board—were held, with Professor Fen Huang (Vice Dean of the Law School) and Program Deputy Director Shihui Yu representing the Chinese side. Upon review by both boards and confirmation at the JAB meeting, student results for the second semester of the 2024–2025 academic year were officially approved, marking the successful completion of the semester’s teaching and assessment work.
