Abstract:With the continuous improvement of science and technology, the law of armed conflict at sea, with the core of the Geneva Convention and its protocols, is also facing new challenges on the 70th anniversary of its adoption. In September 2019, the Dalian Maritime University and the Grandview Institution, China, co-organised the, ‘Current Situation and Challenges in the Law of Armed Conflict at Sea Conference’. The conference brought together front-line staff from academia and government agencies and units, to discuss new issues in this area.
