Xia Yuanjun, male, coming from Dalian in Liaoning, associate professor, master tutor. Bachelor of law of Dalian Maritime University (1998); Master of law of the Dalian Maritime University (2001); doctor of law of Tsinghua University (2011).

Research fields: Maritime Law, insurance law

Professional affiliations: member of Chinese Society of Law,Chinese Society of International Law and Chinese Maritime Law Association; director of the Maritime Law Research Association of Liaoning Province Law Society; part-time lawyer.

Honors and awards:

1. The thesis: "The responsibility of marine environmental damage caused by the fault of third party" won the second prize of 2013 annual meeting excellent thesis of Maritime Judicial Theory Professional Committee of China Judicial Theory Research Association;
2. The thesis: “The choice of liability limitation model of marine responsibility insurer” won the third prize of 2011 annual meeting excellent thesis of Maritime Judicial Theory Professional Committee of Chinese Law Society Judicial Theory Research Association;

3. The thesis: "The conflict and coordination of ship collision joint liability and liability limitation for maritime claims” won the third prize of 2011 annual meeting excellent thesis of Maritime Judicial Theory Professional Committee of Chinese Law Society Judicial Theory Research Association;

4. The thesis: "The theory of the legal consequences of violating the duty of disclosure in the insurance contract -- concurrence of the right of rescission and revocation” won the third prize of 2009 excellent paper award of Chinese Maritime Law Association;

5. The thesis: "The theory of actual carrier" won the first prize of 1999 annual meeting Youth Paper Award of civil and economic law seminar of Chinese Law Society.
