On March 25thand 26th, professor Chu Beiping, Dean of DMU Law School, was invited to the 43th ShiZi Gate Legal Forum held by the Faculty of Law of Macau University of Science and Technology after his lecturing in the Faculty of Law, University of Hong Kong. The Forum came at the time of the 18thanniversary of the university’s founding focusing on the topic of “international investment risk prevention and dispute resolution in the context of One Belt and One Road”. A heated discussion and communication was carried by senior scholars from the mainland, Macau and Taiwan, law practitioners and teachers and students from Macau University of Science and Technology. Professor Chu Beiping was invited to give comments on the speech of all the guest speakers. Ms. Yu Shihui, assistant of the dean of law school, was also invited to participate the forum.

During the seminar, professor Chu Beiping and Ms. Yu Shihui also participated in the “Lawyers’ Dialogue” activity. Speakers told their experiences of study and life and gave warm messages to a new generation of law, which became a useful guidance to the young students.

In the era of integration of Western and Chinese culture, the law school of Macau University of Science and Technology make full use of its traditional as well as geographical advantages and has been active in academic exchanges. Under the previous efforts of both sides, professor Chu Beiping, Dean of the Law School of Dalian Maritime University, and professor Fang Quan, Executive Deputy Dean of Faculty of Law, Macau University of Science and Technology, officially signed a cooperation agreement on behalf of the two sides. A series of communication and cooperation, such as teachers’ visits, scientific research cooperation, student exchanges and social service, will be conducted between the two universities.
