2018 CMI Assembly meeting and other events took place on 9-10 November, in London. On behalf of the China Maritime Law Association, Prof. Beiping Chu and Ms. Shihui Yu from DMU Law School attended the Assembly and events. Prof. Beiping Chu has been nominated and voted as the Executive Councillor of CMI.

CMI is a non-government, non-profit organization which was established in Antwerp in 1897. Its objective is to contribute by all appropriate means and activities to the unification of maritime law in all its aspects. CMI is made up of national maritime law associations in 51 countries. The Executive Council of CMI consists of 15 members.
